The formal diagnosis does give significant insight into her. ... And there is significant history to back up the diagnosis. ... We know more about Ms. Doe. ... She may not have control over what she's doing.
Prosecutors have charged her with crimes related to camping out at a vacant home in Fridley last summer, driving a stolen car across Wisconsin, engaging in identity theft and scratching a jailer. A judge also found her in contempt of court for refusing to give her name.
For weeks after her arrest she refused to cooperate with jail booking procedures such as giving her name and standing for a booking photo–setting an Anoka County Jail record for the length of her stay in a holding cell.
