Isabelle West, a.k.a. Izzy Insane, traveled with her Twin Cities youth roller derby team to a bout in Indianapolis in her first year playing the sport.

Accomplishment: Izzy Insane is a member of the Twin Cities Junior Roller Derby team which traveled to Indianapolis for a bout this summer.
Key to awesomeness: Originally the first alternate for the traveling team, the 10-year-old Fridley girl got to go with the team to play in the interstate roller derby bout. She said she has has been going to each week for a while when she spotted someone skating really fast. This is her first year and Izzy said it’s the help of her coaches that has made her successful.
