Get Out in Fridley: Pretend the World, Big Toe and More

Where:
Why Go: The Ant Bully will be featured on the big screen for a night of family-friendly entertainment.
Price: Free




When: Friday, Aug. 19 from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Where: Povlitzki’s on 65 (8407 Plaza Blvd. NE, Spring Lake Park)
Why Go: Don’t sit at home picking toe jam when there’s live rock, pop, R&B and funk music being played.
Price: No cover


 

When: Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m.
Where: Northtown Branch Library (711 County Road 10 NE, Blaine)
Why Go: In honor of Kay Marszalek's retirement after 28 years of service to the Anoka County Library system and the newly decorated story room, there will be a short dedication ceremony at 10:45 a.m. followed by a final story time by Miss Kay.
Price: Free




When: Saturday, Aug. 20 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: The new exhibit features the work of five visual artists who interpreted the poetry of Kathryn Kysar through photography, video, sculpture, installation and painting.
Price: Free




When: Sunday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Wrap the weekend up with some old fashioned number calling and blotting.
