Get Out! in Fridley: Ride a Bull, Do Art

Fridley's weekend entertainment guide to fine arts, bull riding, and a 9/11 tribute ceremony.

Thursday, the one day Fridley Patch loves telling you what to do.


When: Friday, Sept. 9 & Saturday, Sept. 10 at 9 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Enjoy a weekend of country rock music featuring Lost Highway on Friday night and Diamondback on Saturday night. The mechanical bull will be taking riders both nights.
Price: Free bull-riding!


When: Sunday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Jazz up your weekend with an outdoor fine arts festival featuring highlights such as live music, art workshops and stilt walkers.
Price: Free


When: Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10 to 11 a.m.
Where:
Why Go: See the food chain in action and learn from the on-duty naturalist about predator-prey relationships. The animals are fed live prey each week.

When: Saturday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: BRU House (1431 Silver Lake Rd. NW, New Brighton)
Why Go: If you’re looking to get involved in the Fridley community and surrounding areas, then Fridley Women of Today just might be for you so be sure to attend this informational meeting.

When: Sunday, Sept. 11 from noon to 4:30  p.m.
Where: Grace Church (9301 Eden Prairie Rd., Eden Prairie)
Why Go: Minnesota Public Safety Agencies will participate in the honoring those who lost their lives 10 years ago during the tragedy of 9/11.
Price: Free
