• Several charged in sex trafficking ring including former assistant county attorney; Medicaid fraud also suspected (alphanews.org) — A Fridley resident who formerly worked in the Anoka County Attorney's Office is among four people charged in a large sex trafficking case tied to alleged Medicaid fraud across the Twin Cities. Prosecutors say the group ran commercial sex operations from multiple properties and may have used assisted living and autism service businesses to help hide profits, with a separate defendant facing Medicaid fraud charges in Ramsey County.
