This workshop will introduce students to a wide array of poetic devices. Students will examine how poetic devices have been used to effect in established writers' work and will practice using them in their own work, as developed through weekly assignments and in-class workshops. Form, rhythm, meter, alliteration, similie, metaphor, and rhyme are just a few of the items on the table. And with all that work, will we still have fun? You bet your assonance. Pun intended.
This six week class is taught by Nate Thomas. Tuition is $120 for nonmembers; $108 for members of BLCA.
