Breck Grad Wins All-American Rowing Honors

The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association awarded all-American honors to a 2009 Breck grad, according to Ithaca College.

Rachel Mevissen helped Ithaca’s varsity 8 team to an at-large invitation to the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships.

Selection is based on:

• Strength of schedule,
  
• Regular-season record,
  
• End-of-season regatta results,
  
• Nomination rank,
  
• Coach's comments and
  
• A 2,000-meter erg score, which tests an individual’s rowing ability on a rowing machine.
  

Mevissen first earned a spot on Ithaca’s varsity boat in 2010. At Breck, she was a member of the school’s soccer team.
