Sonnesyn Elementary School EL teacher Ann St. Clair is one of 10 finalists for this year’s Minnesota Teacher of the Year honor.

“It was a huge honor to be a semifinalist, and now finding myself in the company of nine talented finalists is more than I could have ever imagined,” St. Clair said. “I am honored to represent Robbinsdale Area Schools as a Teacher of the Year finalist. I’m proud to be a part of the equity work that we, as a district, are doing to ensure that all students have the skills, strategies and tools to reach their full potential.”

St. Clair teaches students in kindergarten through second grade, and has been with the district for 15 years. In her current role, she co-teaches in six primary classrooms each day. She is also a finalist for the 2015 Robbinsdale Area Schools Teacher of the Year honor.
