Multiple local agencies, from Granite Falls Fire and Police to area fire departments and the Red Cross, responded as investigators work to determine the cause.

• Faegre Drinker Secures Favorable Public Utilities Commission Ruling for Upper Sioux Community (faegredrinker.com subscription) — A major state utilities ruling clears the way for a large solar array at Prairie’s Edge Casino Resort just outside Granite Falls, allowing it to finally power up without risking disconnection. The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission found the electric cooperative’s disconnection threats unlawful and ordered continued service, while also asking the Attorney General to investigate possible violations.
