• SEAS Patriot Archer Earns Top 5 Finish at Nationals, Other Spring Sports Results – KDWA 1460 AM & FM 97.7 (kdwa.com) — Hastings athletes had a big week, with Raiders softball rolling past Prescott 11-4 on alumni day and archers from Hastings High School and SEAS Patriots turning in strong personal-best performances at nationals in Kentucky. Boys tennis wrapped up sections play, and the girls golf team mixed fun and competition in a teacher-student scramble before returning to regular action Friday. 
• City of Hastings PFAS Update – KDWA 1460 AM & FM 97.7 (kdwa.com) — Hastings officials are warning that without more state funding, future water bills could climb dramatically as the city builds new PFAS treatment plants. Construction at the Central Treatment Plant is moving ahead, a 10 percent rate hike is under council review this month, and the city has hired a law firm to pursue possible contamination-related litigation.
• Minnesota students fight back against vaping with Escape the Vape Video Challenge (einpresswire.com) — Minnesota’s Escape the Vape Video Challenge just honored students statewide, including a third-place middle school video created by two students from Hastings Middle School. The contest highlights how youth-led creativity can spread the word about vaping’s risks, while also pointing teens toward free, confidential help if they want to quit nicotine or e-cigarettes.
