• Another federal prison sentence for Rochester-area meth ring (kimt.com) — A Hastings resident received a 10-year federal prison sentence connected to a large meth trafficking ring that also used a Hastings stash house to move hundreds of pounds of drugs. Hastings Police helped investigate alongside multiple regional and federal agencies, which authorities say dismantled a major operation supplying meth across southeastern Minnesota. 
• Olympic Hills keeps 9/11 promise 25 years later (eplocalnews.org) — A long-running 9/11 lemonade and cookie stand in Eden Prairie is once again directing part of its proceeds to the Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings, alongside the Minneapolis home and Como Park’s JROTC program. Organizers say the revived neighborhood tradition now involves a new generation of volunteers while continuing to honor veterans and the promise to never forget.
