• Two injured in a two-vehicle crash in Canosia Township (wdio.com) — A Tuesday morning crash at Highway 53 and Midway Road in nearby Canosia Township sent both drivers to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and heavily damaged both vehicles. Hermantown police and fire crews joined state and county agencies at the scene, where the box-truck driver was later cited after investigators said it rear-ended a stopped pickup at a red light.
   

• Hermantown softball overpowers Hibbing in mercy-rule victory (wdio.com) — Hermantown softball fans saw a dominant 12-2, five-inning home win over Hibbing in the Hawks’ final home game of the season. Behind big offense from Rylee Knight and strong pitching from Avery Beranek, Hermantown improved to 11-4 and now heads to Duluth East for a road matchup Wednesday afternoon.
