• Woman pleads guilty in connection with Hibbing school bus crash that injured multiple kids (kstp.com) — A driver has pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal vehicular operation for a 2024 crash that injured students riding a school bus in Hibbing. Investigators say she ran a stop sign while recording on Snapchat, causing the bus to roll into a ditch and injure the driver and 21 children, several seriously.
   

• Central Range Transportation Facility one step closer to reality (duluthnewstribune.com) — A new $40 million Central Range Transportation Facility in Balkan Township will replace St. Louis County’s current Hibbing public works campus and serve Hibbing, Chisholm, and nearby communities. The 80-acre complex will centralize road maintenance operations, house more equipment and staff, and is funded by a half-percent transportation sales tax, with completion targeted for fall 2027.
   

• Hibbing man pleads guilty after breaking into home and assaulting two people (wdio.com) — A Hibbing man has pleaded guilty to burglary, assault, and violating a domestic abuse no contact order in two separate St. Louis County cases, with sentencing set for June 18. Prosecutors credited the Hibbing Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol for their work, while a separate escape case from a regional corrections center is still pending.
