Pamper Yourself Saturday at Girls on the Town

The event offers something for everyone.

Hopkins’ downtown will once again be filled with mothers, daughters, sisters and girlfriends as retailers and eateries open their doors Saturday for .

The twice-yearly event is a relaxing day that offers something for everyone. The first 350 women to register at the receive a goodie bag with valuable coupons. Dozens of businesses will offer unique shopping and dining experiences. And for every $25 shoppers spend, they will be entered into a drawing filled with great prizes.

New this year, the world champion Minnesota Lynx will have a representative present with the championship trophy. Attendees will be able to buy discounted tickets to Girls on the Town family night with the Lynx on June 21.

Girls on the Town runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Participating businesses will have pink bows on their doors. Click here for a full list of participating businesses.

May Day at Hopkins Center for the Arts

The Hopkins Center for the Arts is also hosting a May Day event in coordination with Girls on the Town.

Experts will be on hand to offer advice about gardening and flower arrangements. A fashion show will offer a look at spring clothing, accessories and hair designs. And there will be a silent auction where attendees can bid on art, theater tickets, gift baskets, community garden plots, plants, landscaping plans and more.

takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 5. All proceeds go to support arts programming at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.
