• 10 noncitizens accused of illegally registering, voting in Minnesota elections (kstp.com) — A federal case over alleged illegal voting includes a defendant already facing state charges in Isanti County District Court, tied to ballots cast in 2022 and 2024. Isanti County election officials flagged the issue and referred it to the sheriff, and a plea hearing in the local court is set for October 7. 
• Flock cameras and privacy concerns: Where Minnesota communities stand (fox9.com) — Isanti County leaders have decided to end an eight-camera trial of Flock license-plate readers, with Sheriff Wayne Seiberlich citing an overwhelming volume of alerts despite no major problems with the system itself. The move comes as several Minnesota communities reconsider Flock contracts amid privacy and data-sharing concerns, while others continue to tout the technology's crime-fighting value.
