ā¢ Last Civil War Soldier Buried in Dodge County to be Honored August 8th, 2026 (claremontmn.net) ā Kasson residents are invited to Maple Grove Cemetery this Saturday, August 8, at 1:30 p.m. for a special ceremony honoring Private Abner Aaron Johnson, the last Civil War veteran buried in Dodge County. The public event, led by the Sons of Union Veterans with American Legion Post 333, will include a Last Soldier dedication ritual and placement of a grave marker.
