• Johnny Appleseed Day packs a weekend of fun into a single Saturday (lakecitygraphic.com) — Downtown Lake City will be buzzing this Saturday, Oct. 3, with Johnny Appleseed Day filling the streets from morning through a nighttime block party. Residents can enjoy family activities, contests, trolley rides, shopping, food trucks, and fall decorations, all organized by the Lake City Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the season close to home. 
• Natalie Bremer receives Distinguished Alumni Award (lakecitygraphic.com) — Lake City's Lincoln High School is celebrating 2022 graduate and former Tigers basketball standout Natalie Bremer, who has been named Region 1A's 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Bremer's five-year varsity career, multiple all-conference and all-state honors, and role in the Tigers' 2021 state tournament run are highlighted as points of local pride.
