Orono 6A Basketball Team Wins State Championship

Orono beat Armstrong by one point to win the state tournament

After toppling Armstrong by one point in the last seconds of the championship game, Orono's 6th grade A team was crowned state champion.  

The final score was 62-61, thanks to a winning basket by Orono's Riley Burger. Orono beat Chaska, Prior Lake, and Andover to earn a spot in the championship game.

The team, coached by Scott Burger and Paul Prentice, celebrated the victory with a trip to Buffalo Wild Wings after the game.
