Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park
Come explore one of the few remaining large (60,000 acres) wilderness areas in the Midwest. We'll see old growth forest, secluded lakes, wild rivers, and abundant wildlife. After a day of getting to know each other, planning, and preparation, we'll head off by van on Tuesday. Our group campground overlooks the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Some of the highlights we will see include Lake of the Clouds, Summit Peak observation tower, and scenic Presque Isle River waterfalls. We have added a day to our teen camp so we can explore for an extra day! We will return by 6pm Saturday. Meals during trip, transportation, camping, and activity fees included. Limit 10 campers.
