The WolfGang in recital

The WolfGang recreates a London Bach/Abel Concert, ca. 1765 on period instruments at the Lakeville Area Arts Center (LAAC), Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, 2:00 pm.  The Bach is JS Bach's youngest son, JC Bach, aka "The London Bach."  Carl Abel partnered with Bach to found one of the world's first public chamber music series.  The performers are Paul Jacobson, flute, Stanley King, oboe, Mary Sorlie, violin, Jennifer Kalika, viola, Laura Handler, cello, Gail Olszewski, fortepiano, and MPR Host, Steve Staruch, tenor.

Coffee concerts at the LAAC follow in that tradition of making music accessible and enjoyable for everyone.  Concerts are in a conversational cabaret setting with complimentary Caribou Coffee and refreshments. This concert's refreshments borrow tastes and traditions from an English tea in honor of the WolfGang's London concert. Free on-street parking.

This is the first concert of the 5th season of Chamber Music Coffee Concerts at the LAAC.  This season's theme is "A Time and Place for Music."  Other concerts in the series are The Vecchione/Erdahl Duo, March 18; Orkestar Bez Ime, April 29, and Minnesota Orchestra Principal Flute, Adam Kuenzel, May 13.
