• Lakeville Man Tried To Tamper With A Witness — Now He's Going To Prison (patch.com) — A Lakeville man has been sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison for his role in the massive Feeding Our Future fraud scheme and for trying to tamper with a cooperating witness. Prosecutors say he falsely claimed to serve 1.6 million meals, received millions in federal funds, paid large kickbacks, and even bought a luxury vehicle with the proceeds before pleading guilty.

• 1 injured after tree falls onto home in Lakeville (turnto10.com) — A man was injured in Lakeville when a tree being removed from a neighboring property was accidentally dropped onto his home, causing significant damage. Lakeville firefighters and utility crews responded Wednesday, and the resident was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be serious.
