Possibly Stormy, But Certainly Chilly

The National Weather Service says Lakeville could see severe weather on Thursday, when will experience below-normal temperatures on Friday and Saturday.

Storms, then below-normal temperatures.

Those are the items on Lakeville’s weather menu over the next few days.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the possibility of stormy weather Thursday afternoon and evening.

That will be followed by a few days of sunny, but chilly conditions. Temperatures over the weekend are expected to be 10 to 15 degrees below normal.

MINNESOTA...EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...
SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA...NORTHWEST WISCONSIN AND WEST CENTRAL
WISCONSIN.
.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED NON SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING
...AND OVERNIGHT. THE MAIN THREAT AREA WILL BE ACROSS CENTRAL AND
EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA THIS EVENING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS INCREASE THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
MORNING. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING...PARTICULARLY FOR SOUTHERN AND EAST CENTRAL
MINNESOTA INTO WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN...WITH THE MAIN HAZARDS
BEING LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...WITH ISOLATED TORNADOES
BEING POSSIBLE AS WELL.

Here is the weather forecast for the next few days:
• Thursday—Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
• Thursday Night—Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
• Friday—Isolated sprinkles after 1pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 68. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
• Friday Night—Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 51. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
• Saturday—Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
• Saturday Night—Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Sunday—Sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind.
• Sunday Night—Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.
