SHERBURNE COUNTY, MN — One person is dead and nine others were injured in a two-car, head-on crash Thursday afternoon east of Big Lake, according to the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office. The crash happened at about 3:10 p.m. when an SUV collided head-on with a small bus. The bus was transporting eight adults at the time of the crash. The collision happened on Sherburne County Road 15 near County Road 83. Weather and poor road conditions were factors in the crash, police said. The bus was headed north on County Road 15 when it collided head-on with an SUV traveling south on County Road 15, according to investigators. The crash happened just north 211th Avenue Northwest. One of eight passengers on the bus was killed. She has been identified as Marilyn Balogi, 47, of Zimmerman. The other seven passengers on the bus and the bus driver were taken to area hospitals.
