BLAINE, MN — A Blaine City Council member running for the Minnesota House says her car was vandalized early Saturday morning by a group of masked people who taped photocopied images of a middle finger across her vehicle while it sat in her driveway.

Leslie Larson, a Republican candidate for Minnesota House District 32B, shared Ring camera footage on Facebook showing four people, their faces covered, placing the images on her black sedan around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Three of the four used their shirts to cover their faces, and no damage to the vehicle was reported, according to FOX 9.

In her Facebook post, Larson said one of the individuals appeared to snap a selfie during the incident.

"It is very disturbing and we would like them found," she wrote, asking neighbors to check their own Ring camera footage for additional information. She said her teenage daughter's car, parked next to hers and adorned with teen accessories, was not targeted, and that her children do not know who was involved.

The Blaine Police Department is investigating the incident.

Larson is challenging incumbent DFL Rep. Matt Norris in the November election.

Norris told KSTP that such incidents are unacceptable no matter the reason behind them.

DFL House Leader Zack Stephenson also condemned the vandalism, saying candidates and their families deserve safety at home, MinnPost reported.
