1 Killed In Hit-And-Run At Twin Cities Target Store Parking Lot

The fatal incident happened at the Target store in Blaine Wednesday evening.

BLAINE, MN — Authorities say they have identified the suspect and victim in a fatal hit-and-run that took place in the parking lot of the Target store in Blaine. On Wednesday, Jan. 15, just after 9:30 p.m., Blaine police officers and fire crews were dispatched to the Target at 1500 109th Avenue Northeast.

Police were told that a pedestrian had been struck by a car that fled the scene

Officers provided emergency medical aid to the victim, who was then transported by Allina Ambulance to Mercy Hospital. The victim, identified as Kenneth Alan Neisen, 58, of Brooklyn Park, died at the hospital.

The suspect was later located by Anoka County deputies and was taken into custody after a foot pursuit, authorities said. Charges have not yet been filed, according to a news release.

The case remains under investigation by the Blaine Police Department, Midwest Medical Examiners Office, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
