2 Found Dead In Orono Home Of Prominent Businessman: Report
Authorities say a man and a woman were discovered at a house on the 1700 block of Shoreline Drive in Orono Wednesday morning.

ORONO, MN — The Orono Police Department and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death of two people in a west metro home Wednesday. The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered at a house on the 1700 block of Shoreline Drive in Orono.
The Hennepin County Dispatch center received a call this morning at 8:31 a.m. about the incident. The Orono Police Department states that there is no risk to the public.
KARE 11 reports that the home involved is owned by prominent businessman Irwin Jacobs and Alexandra Jacobs.

Jacobs owned Genmar Holdings, which was one of the largest boatbuilders in the nation before it filed for bankruptcy in 2009.
Crime scene investigators are in the beginning stages of the processing the scene, according to a news release. More information will be made public as it becomes available.
