92-Year-Old Killed Driving Wrong Way On Highway 10: State Patrol
The crash left one man dead and a 32-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

ELK RIVER, MN — A 92-year-old man was killed Sunday morning after driving a Ford Ranger the wrong way on Highway 10 and crashing into a Chevrolet Equinox, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The woman driving the Chevrolet suffered life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say Raymond Wallace Christensen was driving east in the westbound lane of Highway 10 near Main Street in Elk River when the Ford struck the Chevrolet traveling west at about 10:15 a.m.
Christensen, of Elk River, died at the scene. Marie Rose Nikle, of Big Lake, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, authorities said. Road conditions were dry at the time of the collision.
