Bass Lake Road Project Update
The road project in southern Maple Grove is expected to be finished the fall of 2012, but have some possible traffic delays Aug. 2 and 3.

The following was sent via email Aug. 2 by the city of Maple Grove to residents about the Bass Lake Road project.
The Bass Lake Road project is proceeding well and will be wrapping upthis fall. Currently, we anticipate having all lanes of new Bass Lake Road constructed by the end of September although some lane restrictions will occur as sod is placed and other finishing touches are performed.
Yesterday work began at the intersection of Bass Lake Road and Lawndale Lane to extend a new water main pipe along Bass Lake Road and connect it to an existing water main on Lawndale Lane. Due to the location of the connection of the old and new pipes, the signal at this intersection had to be placed on all way red flash. We understand that this results in significant delay for those traveling through this intersection especially during the peak hours. The crews are working as quickly as possible however we do anticipate this work likely extending into the morning of Friday August 3rd, which means at the very least another PM Peak Hour will be impacted and possibly the morning peak hour on Friday. We strongly suggest using an alternate route if possible.
