Do Your Share Your Expertise on a Blog?

Are you blogging or writing articles about what you do? Blogging is one of the easiest ways of sharing your knowledge with others. It's as simple as that.

Are you blogging or writing articles about what you do? Blogging is one of the easiest ways of sharing your knowledge with others. It's as simple as that.

Often I am asked how to begin creating posts and I suggest creating your own editorial calendar to organize your thoughts and when you want to post.

Blogger Michele Linn suggests using specific tabs in a spreadsheet to track info for each post such as: post date, author, tentative title, keywords, categories, tags, call to action and status. She says "By tracking more than topic and date it will help to make sure the key elements you need for SEO, digital optimization and conversion are accounted for."

Once your editorial calendar is completed and you know your weekly and monthly topics, start writing your expertise, focus each article post on the topic and start writing. You do not have to be an experienced author to share knowledge, but to be strategic, you should know your key words and use them in your blog posts.  Blogging can and should drive people to you, your website or place of business.

Blogging is a marketing strategy and is about engaging your readers. Be sure at the end of your post you ask your reader to comment or share their ideas or experience about your topic, this is how you keep readers coming back for more!
