Maple Grove - My Charming New Home

My story of how Maple Grove is becoming my new home as a mom, wife and photographer.

My family and I recently moved from south Florida to Maple Grove. My husband has worked as a pharmacist with Target for several years, so we knew this move would possibly come at some point.

We have a 7-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. Neither of our kids has ever seen snow before and they were expecting it upon arrival in early June. After a little disappointment, they felt right at home with this nice weather.

So far, we love Maple Grove. “Minnesota Nice” sure is refreshing and with hills, soft grass, small-town festivities and “pop” instead of soda – how can you not like it?

I taught elementary school for eight years in Florida, and then transitioned into the world of photography. I have had my own lifestyle photography business, chasing little cutie pies around with my camera at parks, the beach and even people’s homes and have fallen in love with my work!

Over the past few weeks, I have been working as a freelance photographer for  Maple Grove Patch. What a wonderful way to become familiar with this charming community. I have been all around town and covered many of the Maple Grove Days activities. What a ton of fun!

Now, with a fresh start in Maple Grove, I am hoping to find a new group of clients that I can photograph, and fill homes with beautiful memories of their little ones and families!

I can’t wait to create our future, here in the beautiful Maple Grove. Cheers!
