Moms RUN This Town Welcomes Women of ALL Fitness Levels
Consider stepping out of your comfort zone and joining Moms RUN This Town!

I have heard from many members that they were completely nervous and unsure about joining Moms RUN This Town, and even more unsure about actually showing up to an event. And who can blame them? You are going into a situation where you don't know anybody and you have no idea what to expect. Plus, let's face it - everybody has a certain amount of self-doubt. So when a walker, or a new runner who still takes frequent walk breaks or runs 14 minute miles sees "Moms RUN This Town" - they might worry that they will hold others back or look stupid. Perhaps they are envisioning this group of super-fit, super fast female marathoners.
Let me be the first to tell you - that is NOT the case.
Yes. We do have super-fit, super fast runners. We also have completely inexperienced runners, pregnant women, women still recovering from childbirth or surgeries, ladies nursing injuries - all of whom walk part or all of the time. Not to mention, we have ladies of all levels in between. Women of all shapes and sizes, of all different fitness and experience levels!

So while I completely understand the apprehension (I've been there myself!), consider taking a leap of faith, stepping out of your comfort zone, and joining us. All you need to do is request to join our closed, private Facebook Group. That is where all of our chatter and planning takes place.
ABOUT: Moms RUN This Town (MRTT) is a free, national running group for moms that has grown to over 500 chapters across the country and in Canada, in just a few short years. The Champlin/Maple Grove chapter has nearly 60 members and is growing rapidly. We meet regularly (currently twice per week) to walk or run, meet up at local races, and have occasional social gatherings as well.

This is not a formally "coached" group - it's simply a way for moms to connect with other moms, develop new friendships, and give/get motivation and support in all of their running endeavors.
