Lockdown Lifted For Brooklyn, Park Center Schools

Osseo Area Schools announced the news on social media early Thursday afternoon.

BROOKYLN PARK, MN — Brooklyn Park police have lifted safety measures put in place at Park Center Senior High and Brooklyn Middle School early Thursday afternoon. The schools went into lockdown around noon Thursday after an "unspecified threat" was phoned into the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

"It has been an unusually challenging afternoon but students at both schools have cooperated extremely well and all students were kept safe during the cautionary measures," Osseo Area Schools said on Facebook.

"Brooklyn Park Police believe there is no safety concern at either school at this time. Senior high students have been asked to report to 7th hour classes; middle school students will finish the day as usual. School will resume tomorrow as usual."
