About the business
Patch: What services and/or products does your business provide?
Amy Chouinard: Kidspeak works with kids between the ages of 0-18 with a wide range of speech-related challenges. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our clients and their families by providing quality in-home speech, language and feeding services. Our focus is family centered, in-home therapy designed to facilitate greater client achievement.
Patch: Do you have other locations?
Chouinard: We service the entire Twin Cities metro area as well as Buffalo.
Patch: What made you want to open a business in Maple Grove?
Chouinard: My husband and I moved to Maple Grove in 1999 and immediately took a liking to the community and the people! Opening this business here seemed natural because there are so many young families and there is a need for speech and feeding services to meet the needs of the growing pediatric population.
Patch: What are your specialties?
Chouinard: Pediatric speech, language and feeding evaluations and treatment.
Patch: What is your price range for your products or services?
Chouinard: We accept most major insurance plans as well as offer private pay plans.
Patch: How are you different from other businesses that provide similar services?
Chouinard: We offer in-home speech and feeding services. We also provide treatment in daycares, private and charter schools etc.
Patch: What future plans to do you have for your business?
Chouinard: I would like to expand the services we provide and the geography we service while continuing to serve our Maple Grove clients.
