Hundreds of pirates will be docking their ships and invading landlocked Maple Grove the weekend of September 25th to celebrate a half century since graduating from their alma mater, Park Center High School.
“It’s time to reunite with yer old shipmates,” said alum Barb Pierce, who, thanks to AI, actually speaks Pirate. “Spend a night under the stars, making believe we be a crew of fresh-faced swabbies once more.” Translation: “Spend an evening with us, pretending we’re young again!”
The weekend kicks off Friday, September 25 at 5 p.m., with a school tour and a 6 p.m. Homecoming game. Or, as Barb says: “Gather yer crew to scout out a skirmish on a strange shore—a patch o' grass where we never did drop anchor in our younger days!”
The big Pirate bash shoves off at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26, at Sundance Entertainment Center in Maple Grove. Dinner, drinks, entertainment, dancing, and reminiscing are all on the menu. The band, Coldfront, will be playing.
