Erik Paulsen: 'Concerns' about Government Surveillance, Sees Need for 'Balance'

U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-MN) told TPT's Almanac program Friday, "I share some of the concerns about the scope and the depth" of government surveillance. But Paulsen, who represents Minnesota's Third Congressional District in Congress, also said surveillance is a valuable tool to fight terrorism and cited a need for "balance."

Paulsen also spoke about revelations about domestic spying Friday on WCCO-AM and Sunday on WCCO-TV. 

Earlier in the week, Paulsen questioned House Ways and Means Committee witnesses about the scandal in which the IRS targeted conservative-leaning groups for scrutiny.

Paulsen also spoke on the floor of the U.S. House about National Cancer Survivors Day.
