Maple Grove Police Report Flurry Of Car Thefts

Maple Grove Police Department said Wednesday it has taken several theft from auto reports throughout the city.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — The Maple Grove Police Department said Wednesday it has taken several theft from auto reports throughout the city that has been concentrated around the retail community. A majority of these thefts are crimes of opportunity were valuables are clearly visible to suspects, and they will quickly gain entry through unlocked doors or break out a window, according to police.

Additionally, authorities continue to take theft from vehicle reports along with stolen vehicle reports from inside garages were the garage doors have been left open. Maple Grove Police Department is reminding residents to not leave valuables inside vehicles that are in plain view, to always lock your car doors and to close your garage doors.

As a reminder, if you witness suspicious activity in our retail parking lots, a theft in progress or somebody suspicious in your neighborhood, immediately call 911.
