Maple Grove Watermain Flushing Begins April 9
The process will take approximately three weeks to complete.

The Maple Grove Utility Department will flush water mains beginning Monday, April 9, and continuing for approximately three weeks. Flushing will be done from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Portable signs will be posted at key entrances to each area one day prior to the flushing.
While your area is being flushing, you may temporarily experience low pressure and/or water discoloration. It is recommended that laundering of clothing not be done until your area has been completed and signs have been removed.
The purpose of this annual process is to clear naturally occurring iron and mineral sediment from the water main and to clean dead ends of the water system. By opening or closing valves, a water main or area can be isolated. A hydrant is then opened, creating sufficient water flow to loosen and flush out accumulated sediments. Hydrants are allowed to flow until water is clear which may take from several minutes to several hours.
Contact the Maple Grove Utility Department at 763-494-6370 if you have questions.
