Minnesota Woman Sought In Husband’s Murder: Sheriff

Lois Riess may be armed, according to police. Authorities urge people not to approach her.

DODGE COUNTY, MN — State authorities are looking for a woman they're calling a "person of interest" in the murder of her husband. David Riess, 54, of Blooming Prairie died of multiple gunshot wounds Friday, according to the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators believe his wife Lois Riess may be armed and are urging the public not to approach her. Riess is known to frequent casinos, police said.

Lois Riess is 56, 5 foot 5 inches, 165 pounds with brown eyes and light blonde hair. She is likely driving a white, 2005 Cadillac Escalade with Minnesota license plate 864-LAE, according to authorities.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
