Osseo Falls to Hopkins in State Tournament
Hopkins High School beat Osseo Senior High School 77-55 in the girls basketball state championship at Target Center.
The #1 seed Hopkins Royals held their ranking in the girls basketball state tournament Saturday night, beating the Orioles to claim their victory.
Osseo rose to the top early in Saturday’s game with Senior forward Olivia Antilla scoring the first five points, reported mnbasketballhub.com. Janay Morton added a three-pointer and Osseo took the lead. The game remained close and was tied 13-13. But Hopkins' defense proved to be too strong for the Orioles, and the Royals took charge of the game in the second half.
Overall, Olivia Antilla scored 15 points for the Orioles. Mikayla Bailey and Ayo Porte trailed Antilla with eight points scored.
