MAPLE GROVE, MN — There was no winner of the Powerball jackpot Saturday, which means the winnings for the Wednesday, Sept. 27 drawing have been increased to $66 million, with a $41.8 million cash value. However, $4,197,794 worth of various non-jackpot prizes were awarded to 488,279 lucky players Saturday. The winning Powerball jackpot numbers for Saturday, Sept. 23 were 24-45-55-56-57 and a red Powerball number of 19, with a multiplier of x2.

The winning Powerball jackpot numbers for Wednesday, Sept. 27 are 8-10-21-23-25, red Powerball number 22; Power Play 3.

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. central time. If you go to bed before then, check back here in the morning, where will provide you with the winning numbers.

The Minnesota Environment & Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF), which receives a portion of every dollar played on lottery games, has hit an incredible milestone; the value of the fund has surpassed $1 billion.

The Minnesota State Fair brings together Minnesotans from every corner of the state and projects benefiting from the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund can be found in every corner of the State Fair.

As hundreds of thousands of families make their annual trip to the Great Minnesota Get Together they too benefit from the work supported by the ENRTF. Right now, the air quality is being monitored at the fair by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency with help from the ENRTF. As fair guests celebrate nature’s beauty at the butterfly house, the Minnesota Zoo is working to preserve native prairie butterflies throughout Minnesota with money from the ENRTF. A DNR pond stocked with several different species of fish that call Minnesota home is one of the most popular exhibits at the fair and every day ENRTF dollars work to help keep Minnesota’s lakes and rivers clean.

The Minnesota Environment & Natural Resources Trust Fund has helped fund projects in each of Minnesota’s 87 counties, including the following projects:

Minnesota Dept. of Agriculture

  • $1,229,000 – Emerald Ash Borer Research and Control Implementation
  • $368,000 – Testing for pesticides and other chemicals in public drinking water
  • $250,000 – Reducing pollution in the Minnesota River
  • $1,157,000 – Elimination of target invasive plant species
  • $205,000 – Agriculture land preservation

Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (NE and NW)

  • $87,000 – Lake Superior Lakewide Management Plan
  • $300,000 – Mitigating Mercury in Minnesota Lakes and Streams
  • $750,000 – Reducing Carbon Footprint of Minnesota Schools
  • $375,000 – Red River Valley Planning and Management
  • $700,000 – Assessment of Urban Air Pollution

Pheasants Forever

  • $100,000 – Minnesota Pollinator Partnership
  • $16,301,000 – Minnesota’s Habitat Conservation Partnership
  • $24,857,000 – Restoring Minnesota’s Fish and Wildlife Habitat Corridors
  • $732,000 – Minnesota Bee and Beneficial Species Habitat Restoration

A portion of lottery proceeds have been directed to the Minnesota Environment & Natural Resources Trust Fund since 1990. A percentage of the Trust Fund’s value is awarded annually via a competitive process.

The recent Powerball jackpot run resulted in Minnesotans collecting $4,084,276 in prizes, including a $1 million winner. The 21-drawing run also generated $3.1 million for the Trust Fund.
