Wow. How many times do we respond to our outward conditions rather than being led and directed from the inside where the Holy Spirit dwells? When we do the latter, what's happening outside of us loses priority, and we become more attuned to what God has for us. Everything evil is trying to keep us so busy and distracted: things go wrong, people hurt us, outside circumstances discourage us, etc. It's all a fight to blind and separate us from the Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby, the Holy Spirit. Stand your ground.
