Teen Killed In Maple Grove Suffered From Depression, Family Says
A teenager from the Twin Cities is dead following a highway crash in Maple Grove Friday.
MAPLE GROVE, MN — One man is dead following a highway crash in Maple Grove Friday. Matthew Gregory Jasicki, 17, of Brooklyn Park, was traveling east on Highway 610 in a 2006 Volvo S80 at high speeds when it lost control and struck the right bridge embankment at Maple Grove Parkway, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Jasicki suffered fatal injuries.
A statement from Jasicki’s family said Matthew suffered from depression, WCCO reported:
A statement said in part, “Matthew had a very bright future ahead of him. His spark and passion was put out far too soon. We do not know all of the circumstances around this horrible accident. Matthew did struggle with the burden of depression.”
They went on to say they “Encourage anyone facing this disease, or if you know someone who is depressed, to please seek help. Do not suffer in silence.”Read much more at WCCO.
