Sign Holder 'Critical' After Crash In Northern Twin Cities

The sign holder now fighting for her life after she was struck by a vehicle in the northern Twin Cities metro Monday has been identified.

The sign holder now fighting for her life after she was struck by a vehicle in the north metro Monday has been identified as Laura Elena Soto Silva, 33, of Fergus Falls. Silva was found in grave condition after she was hit at 237th Avenue NE and 7th Street NE in East Bethel just after 1 p.m.

Silva remains listed in “critical” condition at Hennepin County Medical Center where she is being treated
for multiple blunt force injuries sustained when she was struck by the vehicle, according to a news release.

The driver of the vehicle involved was identified by authorities as 20-year-old Jordan Lynn Paulus of East Bethel. The case remains under the investigation of the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol Reconstruction team.

The driver has not been cited or charged with any offense yet. When the investigation is complete, the case will be reviewed by the Anoka County Attorney’s Office who will review the matter and decide if charges are appropriate.
