Weekend Road Construction Planned for Weaver Lake Road

Construction on Weaver Lake Road, from West Fish Lake Road to Interstate 94, is planned for the upcoming weekend and expected to disrupt traffic flow in the area.

"Starting at 8 p.m. tonight (Friday) all traffic will be moved to the westbound lanes of Weaver Lake Road resulting in one lane of travel for each direction. All three signals in this stretch will also be placed on all red flash so that they act as all way stops," the city of Maple Grove said in an email alert to residents. "We do expect congestion in the area especially on Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday afternoon. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as County Road 30 or Bass Lake Road, if possible."

Between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday, East Fish Lake Road will be closed at Weaver Lake Road, "preventing access between the two road" according to the city.

Another weekend of construction on the road is anticipated Sept. 7-10, 2012.

The road project, which , involves resurfacing the deteriorating pavement conditions on Weaver Lake Road.
