• Red Bull New York Acquires Defender Devin Padelford via Loan from Minnesota United FC (newyorkredbulls.com) — A professional soccer move has a Maplewood connection, as hometown defender Devin Padelford is heading to Red Bull New York on loan from Minnesota United for the rest of the 2026 MLS season. The 23-year-old Maplewood native, a former Minnesota United Academy and Woodbury High School standout, has become a regular MLS contributor and previously helped Minnesota reach the conference semifinals.
