ā¢ Lyon Co. supports PFAS funding request (marshallindependent.com) ā Lyon County commissioners have backed a $5.5 million state funding request to treat PFAS āforever chemicalsā from the county landfill, a major source of PFAS in Marshallās wastewater system. The plan, supported by the Marshall City Council, would help build a leachate treatment facility and seeks money from state bonding, Environmental and Natural Resources Trust Fund, and Clean Water funds.

ā¢ Aviation enthusiasts take control (marshallindependent.com) ā Marshall aviation buffs of all ages gathered at the Marshall Area YMCA for the annual model airplane show, where a flight simulator drew steady crowds of curious kids and adults. Local members of the Marshall RC Club shared their passion, costs, and experiences with model aircraft, offering an accessible way for residents to explore aviation close to home. Ā Ā Ā
ā¢ Marge Jolstad (marshallradio.net) ā Family and friends are invited to honor Margaret āMargeā Jolstad, 78, with visitation in Marshall on April 26 and a Mass of Christian Burial in Cottonwood on April 27. Marge, who spent her later years on the family farm near Cottonwood and had close family in Marshall, passed away April 20 at Prairie Home Hospice McLaughlin House in Marshall. Ā Ā Ā
