• County backs plans to expand transit services (hometownsource.com) — Mayer residents could see a new weekly Transit Link circulator connecting the city with nearby Carver County communities, improving access to jobs, groceries, and medical appointments. County commissioners approved a broad transit expansion plan, funded mainly by regional transportation sales tax and Met Council grants, while also advancing a new government center project and reviewing encouraging declines in suicides and overdoses.
