Threat Made Against South St. Paul Elementary School: District
School is canceled Wednesday for all South St. Paul public schools after police reported a threat.

SOUTH ST. PAUL, MN — Classes are canceled for South St. Paul students Wednesday after a threat was made against an elementary school, the district announced. School officials say the threat was made through a phone call to the South St. Paul Police Department.
"While the SSPPD is not certain of the credibility of the threat, we have made the decision to cancel school for today out of an abundance of caution," the district said in a statement Wednesday morning.
"We apologize for the late notice and understand that this cancellation will create challenges for some families today. However, the safety and security of all students and staff is our top priority and we feel that canceling school today (November 21st, 2018) is in the best interest of our community."
