Allina Health To Cut Nearly 350 Jobs

The large Minneapolis-based health system said the job cuts come amid "unprecedented financial challenges."

MINNEAPOLIS — Allina Health on Monday announced that it's laying off nearly 350 employees amid "unprecedented financial challenges."

The Minneapolis-based health system oversees 13 hospitals in Minnesota, including Abbott Northwestern and United Hospital, plus dozens of clinics.

Most impacted jobs are leadership and non-direct caregiving roles, according to Allina. Workers will be offered severance, health benefits, and outplacement resources.

"Allina Health has tremendous gratitude for all of our team members, including those leaving our organization," the health system said in a statement.

"Allina Health, like many health systems across the country, is facing unprecedented financial challenges. Our focus remains on ensuring we remain a sustainable community asset for years to come."
