Top 5 Minnesota CEOs Made A Combined $328 Million Last Year: Report (patch.com) — Minnesota's top-paid public company CEOs pulled in a combined $328 million last year, with several leading firms headquartered in Minneapolis. Leaders at Ameriprise Financial and Piper Sandler, both based in the city, are among the highest earners, underscoring the outsized role Minneapolis companies play in the state's corporate landscape.

Metro Transit Blue Line light rail trains set to reopen Thursday (fox9.com) — Blue Line light rail service between Target Field in downtown Minneapolis and the Mall of America resumes Thursday after signal and equipment upgrades aimed at cutting delays. At the same time, officials say a long-discussed 13‑mile extension from downtown Minneapolis to Brooklyn Park is now estimated at $3.58 billion, with most design work complete but funding and timelines still evolving.
   

3. People pack a North Loop Neighborhood Association meeting over proposed data center (kare11.com) — North Loop residents packed a neighborhood association meeting to question a Virginia developer's plan to turn the former Star Tribune printing plant into a large data center tied into downtown Minneapolis' electrical grid. With few project details available, the association delayed taking a position and will seek more information before a city Planning Commission hearing, as Minneapolis' recent pause on most new data centers looms in the background.
   

4. Minneapolis Park and Rec Board considers $160M budget and a higher tax levy rate (kstp.com) — Minneapolis park leaders are pushing for a 5.86% tax levy increase to support a proposed $160 million parks budget, far above Mayor Jacob Frey's 2.5% placeholder. Without the higher rate, they warn of job cuts, reduced hours, and less maintenance across city parks, while the mayor urges consolidating administrative functions instead of trimming youth programming.
   

5. Minnetonka coach saved with CPR and AED after suffering sudden cardiac arrest (kare11.com) — A Minnetonka High School mountain bike coach went into sudden cardiac arrest while riding with his team at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis and survived thanks to fast CPR, an AED, and first responders. Now recovering and facing open-heart surgery, he's rethinking intense training and hopes his story encourages others to learn lifesaving skills and recognize cardiac risks, even in fit adults.
