Boy, 12, Killed In Rural Minnesota Snowmobile Crash

A 12-year-old boy is dead after he crashed on a snowmobile Sunday, the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office announced.​

WABASHA COUNTY, MN — A 12-year-old boy is dead after he crashed on a snowmobile Sunday, the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office announced.

Just after 1 p.m., the sheriff's office and other emergency responders were dispatched to the town of Theilman on a report that a snowmobiler had crashed into a tree.

Crews at the scene administered first aid, but the boy was declared dead at the scene. The 12-year-old was driving the snowmobile on private property when he entered a wooded area and crashed into a tree, according to investigators.

The boy was identified by authorities as Blaze Leland Himle, KSTP reported.
